A. This is a rain, snow, or shine event. That said, prior to race day, Boulder County law enforcement has the authority to postpone the event if there are safety hazards on the road due to weather.  All registered participants will be notified ASAP via email if the event is postponed. If the event is postponed and you can not attend, you can transfer your entry to another person, but unfortunately we can not offer refunds.

Q. What kind of bike should I ride?

A. You will likely see everything from road bikes to mountain bike. Due to the nature of the course containing gravel , we recommend tires at least 25mm wide tire. Knobby tread will help with traction and slick treads could be dangerous depending on the course conditions. Gravel / cyclocross bikes will be predominantly used, but if course conditions are dry, a road bike with wide tires might just be faster!…although you’ll definitely get the most smiles and high fives on a fat bike.
